The Origin of the Mediterranean Sea
In this educational video you can learn in an simple way how our "Mare Nostrum" appeared in our planet. For Mediterranean people like me this small sea is the most important sea in the world (sorry but this is true) and I am very concerned about its biodiversity and of course about its environmental problems.
Since the Roman period this sea has been the centre of life for this area of the Earth.

The Evaporating of the Mediterranean Sea
After the formation of the Mediterranean Sea something estrange happened. All the water of this marvellous sea disappeared because of a warm period ( The Straits of the Gibraltar were closed becouse of the movements of the Earth´s crust, thus preventing the Atlantic Ocean replenishing the evaporating water ). The proof of this was found in Sicily, in a large salt mine under the ground. At a depth of two hundred metres there is a curious chapel carved in the salt mine.

Easter 2011
These photographs were taken a few days before Easter. They show a Gymkana with games that the children had to play together and, at the end of each game, they received a point. When they had earned 3 or 4 points, they were then given a clue. This clue was the key to finding some chocolate eggs as prizes.
All the instructions for the games were in English and the main aims were having fun and learning one of the ways that English children celebrate Easter.

Carnaval 2011
Este año hemos celebrado el Carnaval en Casasimarro con una temática muy especial: Los Bosques, ya que precisamente este año es el año Internacional de los Bosques. Los duendes y las hadas, los árboles, las flores y los insectos estaban representados; los disfraces se realizarón con material económico y construcción casera y quedaron estupendos.
